The above picture was taken from or camp site in Haines Junction, Yukon Territory, Canada.

The following is a first attempt a blogging. Some of the eext was liberated from a email to friends.

We have settled into our regular winter routine here in south central Arizona. I have been spending 35 or so hours a week in the real Estate office. There have been a few rewords though, I should have a nice check in the next day or so.. This winter in Caliente looks like a “Buyer’s Market.” Too few buyers chasing too many properties for sale. I’m guessing the same thing there in Yuma, and most other areas frequented by "winter visitors."

It is time for Viv and I to be thinking about this coming summer. We will NOT spend July or August in Florence. We have, however, driven to Kodiak for the past SEVEN! years. We may just mind somewhere else to hide this summer. Traverse City, MI comes to mind. I was stationed there in the early 60’s. Just may go home anyway…

We have a small CD which will mature late next month. The return if we let it roll over will drop to 1.85%. Boo - Hiss. Might just as well hide the money in a mattress. So we made an offer on a nice property here in our retirement park which we'll use as a rental. A lot of work on occasion but it may well pay more tham 1.85%!
